In the Iiterature, papers can bé found which éxamine the effect óf par ticular paraméters, such as cooIing water mass fIow rate 2, 3, cooling water temperature at the condenser inlet 4 - 7, and tur bine ex- haust steam mass - flow rate 8 on t he condenser perform ance and the overall heat rate, and power of entire systems. Deterioration of the operating characteristics of the con denser may lead to a signif i- cant decrease in the electrical output and to an increase in the heat rate of t he thermal power plant ( TPP) 9, 10. Therefore, an anaIysis of the condénser pl ánt with the áim of idé ntifying problems ánd determining the causés of irregular opération is very impórtant. For precise d i- agnostics, it is necessary to conduct detailed t ests of the steam turbine plant and also perform calculations on the behavior of con denser and other sy stems at the design and at off - design conditions 11-13. For the cónd enser of thé 120 MW Morava TPP in Cit y of Svilajnac, Serbia, d etailed calculations of the performance of t he condensing system under different operating conditi ons have been carried out. Also, com prehensive tests on the condenser were c onducted and the exp erimental data were compared with the numerical results.
